Prison

http://www.pfi.org.au/homepage_56_7.html

David Molyneux is Executive Director of Prison Fellowship Victoria

Prison Fellowship Victoria is an interdenominational Christian organization that engages with and provides support to prisoners, ex prisoners, their families and others affected by crime through a range of services and activities in Victoria.  It is a member of Prison Fellowship International, the largest volunteer organisation working in the Corrections area both in Australia and internationally.

Prison Fellowship has a presence in all 14 prisons in Victoria. At the core of their service provision is the team of 260 dedicated volunteers, men and women, who visit prisoners across the State.  They provide friendship, mentoring and pastoral care support for prisoners.  Volunteers give more than 3,000 hours throughout the year in this service.

Currently they receive no Government funding and rely heavily on donations, fundraising activities and grants from philanthropic trusts.

David will bring Sean Wood with him, who is a graduate of the Prison program and is putting his life back together.

David will do a brief power point presentation of 10 minutes then ask Sean to share for 5 minutes followed by a 5 minute conclusion.

Bare Foot Bowling

Last Wednesday evening members and friends of the RCAP enjoyed fun and fellowship while playing Bare Foot Bowls at Middle Park Bowling Club. This was a challenging task for most players but we did have a few who bowled close to their target as for the others I'm afraid to say we do not have any real champions amoungst us. This was then followed by a BBQ with salads and sweets. Many thanks to all who helped organise, setup, cook or bring food to make it such a great evening.

Electronic Editions of Rotary Down Under

http://www.rotarydownunder.com.au/

There's a whole new world of Rotary waiting inside the pages of our new electronic editions of Rotary Down Under and Rotarian Life.

One day we'll all read magazines this way!

Our new page-turning technology gives you a real sense of "flipping through" the pages of a real magazine, allows images within the pages to burst into video life, and links all the relevant pages to the appropriate email and website addresses.

Thinking of going to the Rotary Internation Convention in June? Watch at RI President John Kenny and his wife, June, take you on a video carriage ride through the streets of Montreal.

If your club has a video presentation of a Rotary project, we can now include it in Rotary Down Under Online.

And of course, our advertisers have a whole new medium with which to reach out to Rotarians all over Australia, New Zealand and the South West Pacific.

Click on an ad and you'll be taken to the advertiser's website or email. The same can apply to links for more information on reports contained in Rotary Down Under's editorial columns.

In short, everybody wins!

Click here to read it, click on it, and watch it all online!  - don't forget to have your speakers turned on.
